(this is and older post)
This is andrea Blanche´s Blog and after watching almost all of the blogs, I think this is the most interesting for me. Why? Because she post creative topics, talks about things that matters her self and from a very sincerly perspective! Using common words , but never loosing the grammar style, beeing very friendly at reading.
Talking about the post, I had 2 favourites. One that talkes about Digilicious.cl and the other is a musical post, Beatboxing flute on Mario´s theme. For the first I found it very interesting and positive, because she shows us a website that help Graphic Designers to show their works or to discuss about diferent topics happenig now or past a time, beeing a very usefull tool to learn, publicity, and be in touch with actuality news! The other post (beatboxing) is very funny and maybe wonderfull because I never saw a beatbox with some wind instrument and I think that it works perfectly. Another thing that I liked of this post, is the fact hat she talks about her own life, experiences with the music and family. (And I think that it wasn`t a task post, so it`s markable)
Another post that I liked (because I red it too), was the reading post. "the catched in the rye". My mom gave me this book when I was 15 or 16, on pick of puberty, and told me hat she has red it too when se was 16 and loved it. She gave me the book on english, and, so as Andrea, I loved like it was written and the topics that itçs author writes about.
Well, nothing less to say, more that my congratulation about "closethedooropenthewindow" (honestly I think that this blog`s name is about going to the bathroom, funny!) and goodbye.

THE ART OF BLOGGING

Hi everybody!
Well, I`m totally surprised. I really never thought that I could possibly became a Blog Man! 6 months ago, I discovered (as I posted a few months ago here on my blog) facebook.com, and I became an internet addict.
When I wake up in the mornig, the first thing to do is to check my e-mails at http://www.gmail.com/ (it´s th best for sure) hopping to have good news about something, expexting that one day, I find a "you won a million dollars, congratulations"... we all know it´ñs not gonna happen but.. I just can´t stop dreaming.
I´t a big theme, because 5 years ago, or maybe 3; the world wasn´t this way! Now it´s completly comunicated, if you want to contact a friend in china, singapour, afganistan, new york; all you have to do is to write an email! It´so usefull and dangerous at the time, because if we think deeper, the "touching" comunication is pooring down each day! We are less at home, and with the cell phone thing, we bacame reachable all day/night long!... Sometimes it scares me because something special of the relationships, is the intrigue or the uncertanty of calling someone home and maybe the person is not there, so you must wait to call again, and I thing the other person becames more "interesting", for just beeing "unreachable".
Fine, but going to the blog thing, I think that it´s very interesting. You can share things with other people, not just your friends because is a global network! Anyone can see my blog and do comments about topics I write and by my point of view, I find it amazing. You are connected to the hole world, no geography bounds or limits.
When I uploaded my first task, I felt like a child doing a task for school, something very unknown for me. Some embarasment too, sharing my opinion to anyone is not so easy. I thimk that making a blog and posting avery week about diferent topics, is a very intensive, interesting a productive axercise to improve your english because you write about thing tou´re interested and you want to do it better everytime you post a new thing. And it´s not like a written test, because the test is ridden only by the professor instead by the blog anyone can see your work, how´s your english and have a comment about that! You must watch out about you write!
Well, here I finish my post, giving thank´s to Simon for have this blog´s great idea helping to us improving our english in a friendly and funny way.

T E D

First of all, I would like to say that I haven´t knew about this thing! And I loved it!
I think that it´s very interesting because it´s an annual event where the most important people in each topic joins and shares things that may be of interest to anyone of us. Those topics concerns to all the human existance! Like economy, arts, design, culture, design, technology, entertainment, etc.
Well. I chosen the theme "design" and one of the expositions was the "Paul McCready: flies on solar wings" because the solar energy is something than I think that it must be used in most of every things. It´s the most valuable and inexhaustible resource.
Paul McCready talks and tells us how he got into de human powered aircrafts (economic reasons because he made a loan of uss 100.000 to a very friends of his to invert them on human powered aircraft´s contest and the friend lost it and returned him in terms of debt. He has to do something and won the contest, getting back the uss 100.000 plus uss300.000 more! And then he was on a family trip and started to watch the birds, how the could go in circles and beeing moved only by the air.
Time later, we started to work with the goberment people, and developed model planes, that could serve like surveillance birds for the army or the solar powered plane, that it´s just like a bird! Moves it´s wings and work like a real one! It´s amazing, really.
You should see he video, he´s a nice old men and shows some videos that are very interesting, at least for me.

MY FAVOURITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY.

...my cell phone!!
Yeah! Have you forgotten it´s a machine, and not a part of you??
In my case, the cell phone has became the most unmissible thing to carry on. Even more important than my underwear! (just joking). My parent gave me my first cell on 2002´s christmass. Sorry, Santa Claus. It would be my first year as a college young boy, and they didn´t want to set me free: "Peter, this gift is to report us who are you with, where, what are you ´gonna do, etc. Not for chatting with friends or girlfriends"... "You just have $10.000 pesos a month on calls and don´t you waste any peso!!. Of course, I spent it on a week, and not specificly to my parents! I was the cell men. During the years, muy budget didn´t change. Every time I talked with somebody on my cell, it was like this: 1.Hi! 2.Where are you. 3.What are you ´gonna do 4.Call me, my minutes are dying!! Tuuu tuuu tuuuu. Everybody hated me, I was the minute´s thief.
So, when my brother got into college in 2005, we had a serious chat an concluded on this: Dad, change the cell plan!!!! And he did. Since that, my life has completely changed. Now I talk to my friends and doesn´t call me "the pahantom", can ask girl´s number (and call them), and do so many things that before I was unable to do! I love my cell.
But there has been many changes since 2002 on the cell technology! Now my cell haves a 2.0 megapixels, radio, mp4, mp3 lector, video camera... smaller and lighter!! Of course that exists the top of cells like blackberries or the new Iphone. But that´s bussines man´s stuff. I love my cell, because it´s a thing that I can easily carry on, and I´m always available to comunicate with anyone, in any part of the world, and if I don´t want to talk with anybody, I just turn it off. I also like because it´s a multifunctional machine: Phone, Clock, alarm, radio and music player.
Well, hoping that cell phones get smaller with the time, I end this technology review, and including a link that provides information about the history of cell phones development.

MY FAVOURITE WEBSITE

My favourite website.
Facebook is a site were you can make your own profile, have groups, friends, and upload your own photos to the web. It´s like a blog, but different: It´s more secure and private. When you build your own profile, you select or search to your friends and they are the only ones that can see your pictures, videos, etc . You can chat with then and haves a sistem "wall to wall" that allows you to write on your friend´s walls and comunicate with them. Also, for those who likes to play more and have fun, you have a hole series of games that can be played on the web. It´s really funny, beause you tagg your friends and when someone makes a comment on your photos, the web e-mails you and tells you about it.
I knew about Facebook around 5 months ago because of one cousin and I visit the page like at least 2 times a day. It´s too cool and keeps you in touch with your people. It´s very special to me, because on the weeks I don´t have much time to spend with my friends or cousins, and this is a way to keep in touch. Also I use the web to upload pictures of a house that I designed, so It´s a very good platform to show it and it´s on a folder that shows the entire construction process, so I think that it´s a big help for me and everyone that are interested in architecture.
That´s all. If you´re interested, click on:
BBC Learning English

Four people, a cat and a flat.
Hi everybody! This task is to write a comment about the BBC Learning English page, so I´ll tell you about my own impression.
When I just opened the page, there were too much information! Too much written and a little of pictures... Not so friendly to start! I think that the page needs to show up more some links or themes, because every link is as the same than another!
Well, that was just talking about the first impression. (talking about design). The contents of each link is very complete! You have a picture of the subject, the written grammar dialogue and the listening part - which is very good because the english is talked very slowly and easy to catch -. It also haves the quiz part and it´s very interactive and easy going. Obviously the page haves several levels depending of the user´s knowledge. It´s really like a real english class and helps us to improve our english.
It´s good to be on the free web so everybody can learn some english. Good iniciative and hope that everybody can join the page.
Well, that´s my comment. For more information, click http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/

My favourite book.

by Carlos Ruiz de Zafón, 2001.
First of all, I´m not a very good reader. Sincerly I don´t have much time for that. Two years ago, endind the spring, my girlfriend gifted me this book . Thanks!! -I said-, but thinking ... when I´m gonna read it ?!! She loves to read so she told me: "Pedro, don´t be lazzy. You know that in Panguipulli (it´s my favourite place to spend the summer, in the south of Chile) you have a lot of time on afternoons doing nothing. It would be so much better if you seat and read a while... you will be so greatfull if you do it". So I did it ! And now I´m very happy for doing it, because it opened me a new field of entertainment.
"La sombra del viento" is the Carlos Ruiz de Zafón´s first novel, in 2001. This novel has been very succesfull, selling more than 7 millions copies and translated to 36 lenguages. The book is about a boy envolved in love, drama, ghost and spiritual forces. It´s not like Harry Potter story. It´s so much better than that. No special effects; when you read the pages you can´t stop ... Everything is so real! His father is a librarian that owns his own shop, haves some very unique friends that haves a club. One day his father takes him to the " Cementery of forgotten books" and tells him- "you must select just one book of these millions and you can take it for your self"-. So the boy -Daniel- chooses "La sombra del Viento". When he gets home, started reading the book and finishes at the morning. He was fascinated! The author was Julian Carax, so the boy; alucinated by this book and author; beggins the search of another book of Carax. In the way, a hole enigmatic, dramatic, lovely and intrigant story happens surprising the lector when you less spect it.
I red it in a couple of weeks (a recod to me) and i stood fascinated. It´s an amazing book and I assure you´ll love it.
Here are some awards of this book "La sombra del Viento".
